Local reporters sit in Capt. Kirk’s big chair

Journalists can do a lot worse assignment-wise than covering a “Star Trek” exhibition.

In my case, as a lifelong Trekker, this definitely falls under the heading of “fun” as well as “work.”

OMG I GOT TO SIT IN KIRK’S CHAIR.

I tried out a couple of other command chairs, including Jean-Luc Picard’s bridge seating on the Enterprise D, and that of a Klingon warbird.

Even “Star Trek” newbie M.A. Rosko of Fox 9 News clearly enjoyed herself. Here is the video proof of that.

Yeah, we could have done a lot worse.
