Being an Ignite speaker is the thrill, and fright, of a lifetime.
This is what I once tweeted about giving one of these high-pressure, highly structured talks, each of which is exactly five minutes long, exactly 30 seconds per slide, with a 20-slide deck the speaker cannot control:
SO scary, SO worth it. http://t.co/1Mv1hhibYw RT @ignitempls: Curious about giving Ignite talk? #IgniteMpls 5 coming. http://t.co/cR1STL4Yzp

Ignite Minneapolis, which organizes periodic multi-speaker Ignite events, has used that tweet for promotional purposes on a number of occasions.
It did so again one recent evening (header photo), during a reunion of Ignite speakers. I was honored.
I was even more honored to be in the company of good friends and fellow Ignite veterans, such as Missy Berggren and Patrick Rhone (photo below).
Ignite Minneapolis’ next shindig is in April, and it is taking talk-idea submissions right now.
