When Pioneer Press photographer Scott Takushi shot this at the recently unveiled CoCo Uptown coworking space in Minneapolis, he did not realize his tech-writer colleague was in the frame.

I’m not sure when I’ll work up the nerve to give another Ignite Minneapolis talk, but it is cool to be featured on a page promoting the next such event.

I talked iPhone 5s/5c and other topics as a guest host on the Minnov8 podcast. Steve Borsch, as usual, whipped up a terrific artwork.

I did another guest-host gig on the Minnov8 Gang podcast this morning. This is always fun.

Discussion topics included upcoming Apple devices, Comcast’s new X1 cable-TV gear, LTE coverage in Minnesota, Instagram-friendly photo apps … and one of my current obsessions, the Yahoo Weather app (illustrated in the episode artwork by Minnov8 Gang co-host Steve Borsch).

The Citizens League and The Current invited three smart media types (and a smidgen overdressed yours truly) to appear on a panel about “Uncivil Discourse: Comments Sections in the Digital Age.”

The panel series, “Policy and a Pint,” gets its name because there’s beer! (I abstained because I get woozy with just a third of a pint and didn’t want to appear that way on-stage 🙂

We didn’t spend all our time on stage staring at our phones (it might look that way in this shot), but we did keep tabs on Twitter #policypint chatter. More …
