My book ‘The Mobile Writer’ is out!

My latest book, The Mobile Writer, has just been released.

This is a how-to book for those who want to get real writing done on mobile devices (such as tablets), but don’t know how to do so effectively because they aren’t up to speed on the relevant tools.

I walk readers through the hardware options—iPad, Android, Chromebook, Surface and so on—and tell them about writing apps and accessories, such as Bluetooth keyboards.

This book is for anyone—from professionals and college students to average consumers—who wants to write on mobile devices, but doesn’t know how to go about it.

The book profiles top writers—such as Harry McCracken of Time.com’s Technologizer, and Jeff Jarvis of BuzzMachine and “This Week in Google” fame—who embrace this mobile-writing lifestyle every day. I add my two cents about where the mobile-writing thing might be headed.

Patrick Rhone, another writer profiled in the book, also wrote its foreword.

The book is well-timed as a holiday tech-gift guide for those weighing the purchase of an iPad mini, Nexus tablet, Chromebook or other mobile-tech product.

“The Mobile Writer” is the first book of its kind … and, for a limited time, it is only $3 on Amazon.com. Three bucks! (Print and Apple-iBook versions are  coming soon.)

I hope you’ll consider buying it. The book has wide appeal. If you are too tech-savvy to benefit from it, you surely know of a friend or a relative who needs this kind of tech advice (and it means you do not have to give them as much tech support 🙂
